I love searching through instagram trying to find handmade Anime merch and I know that's a fine line to walk on (something I may touch upon at a later date) but I feel like Anime companies are missing out.
I came across someone creating some Haikyu stuff and I'm late to the game (har har) but I love that series. I'm currently working my way through season 3. Anyways, they were making theme scrunchies and you could request your favorite. I got Asahi because there is never any merch of him and he's become my favorite.
It is so well made! I have shoulder length hair and I wore a basic pony tail and it stayed! The number / wording is heat transfer vinyl (think Cricut) and has held up during my day of wearing. I even picked at it and it didn't budge. I have yet to toss it in the wash though.
The material is pretty thick and it does catch some lint as soon on the close up photo above. Nothing a good lint roller can't take care of. You can see some of the glue from the vinyl showing a bit on the top of the number but again nothing that bothers me. The elastic inside is very strong and it snaps right back!
They also are offering scrunchies based off the other teams too! So if Karasuno isn't you team, they have Aobajohsai/ Seijoh, Nekoma, and Date Tech! You can find them on Etsy, just search for anime scrunchies and you'll find them eventually. Everything is handmade though so they only list a limited amount at a time. So if you can't find it, that's probably why.
The Karasuno scrunchie gets a 9.5/10 for me. I just gotta keep wiping it down with a lint brush but otherwise I love it.
Also, Asahi needs more love!
